Is an optimizer for Dial-Up Modems and LAN/Cable/xDSL/

ISDN/T1 Internet
connections, a Web Accelerator software utility.

This Web Accelerator optimizes your Windows TCP/IP settings, which
means faster Web browsing, faster e-mail, quicker downloads, and
improved overall Internet performance.
SpeedConnect prevents fragmentation in data transfer using the TCP/IP
protocols used on the Internet, greatly increasing modem throughput
and download-upload speed [Kb/s].

SpeedConnect features support for multiple dial-up adapters, and
special support for the America Online adapter.

How it works ?

Because Windows default settings are not optimized for accessing the
Internet with a modem, SpeedConnect speeds up and enhances all your
Internet-related software by adjusting and optimizing your computer
for a better connection. This translates into faster web browsing,
faster e-mail, quicker downloads, and improved overall Internet
performance.

SpeedConnect changes TCP/IP Windows default settings which are
generally inefficient for dial up Internet connections to optimum
values which will prevent the fragmentation of data packets and will
speed up your connection.

Some people have had good success after only changing MaxMTU. But for
maximum efficiency it is often necessary to make an entry for RWIN and
in many cases TTL as well. Many people have reported much better data

What if I have more than one Network Adapter ?

If you have more than one Adapter that uses TCP/IP protocol,
SpeedConnect will prompt you at start to choose which one you want to
optimize.
e.g. You have Dial-Up Adapter and AOL Adapter for connecting to Internet
using different ISP's. When you will start SpeedConnect you will be
prompted to choose between Dial-Up Adapter and AOL Adapter.
You can always select another adapter to optimize by starting again
SpeedConnect. The current selected adapter is shown in SpeedConnect
title bar.
